CS:S Preloading Soon

According to Jason X, who now works at Planet Half-Life, a Gabe Newell e-mail he received talks about the Counter-Strike: Source BETA being preloaded for Counter-Strike: Condition Zero owners:

"It isn't tonight. It will be closer to the 28th. We'll give people plenty of warning." - Gabe Newell

So it's only a few more weeks before the BETA is handed down to the CS:CZ-owning masses? Awesome!

I cannot wait, and the fact that I have not bought the game makes things much more interesting.



On another note, this is such a good idea from Valve's point of view. I am sure many people will buy CS:CZ in order to play the CS:S beta.

yes but the preload is that when the cafe starts its beta test, or when everyone gets the preload, becuase i have heard nothing from the cafe test yet

And for those who read through my CZ update definately know about this I just hope that with WON shutting down and the preload beginning, Steam's servers can handle the loads.
