As it is I think the biggest positive of CS is that it isnt an attempt to simulate, and at the same time it does not have the deathmatch kill them all feel of a lot of other games that are out there. I mean, I thought source was just moving CS onto that engine, I did not think it would mean redoing the entire mod.

Pretty amusing that the majority of the recent comments to this news item clearly haven't read the article, or the comments made thus far.
To summarize: there's no real evidence that boosting has been removed, and this "Warchicken" fellow was largely talking out of his ass.Comment

the only boosting i object is the kind with the old skywalking in dust and things like that. sure, its funny seign some guy running around in the air, but its not fun when they can kill you and you cant shoot back and stuff. i personally support boosting (a more realistic type, not skywalking or walking on the vines in cobble) it gives that unpredictable feeling when you're walking down the hall with those huge crates...it'd be better that you know you might get HSed by some guy on top of it.Comment

#63, Naaah. Look at the last ESWC Finals for example. Theres a nice boost up to the A spot from the lower CT Base on dust2.
