I have heard reports that the palm trees in CS:S's dust are springy and can fire two armed terrorists 350 feet across the map (with appropriate aiming). What? There's even more unbalancing for the Ts on dust now? Unless Valve has completely rebuilt dust to be more fair and balanced, I don't see how spring-loaded palm trees - unless totally rigid - can add anything good.

I also found out that George Bush is a lady and blah.

Why is this news? Hey, let me go write a few paragraphs on my clans web site so it can be posted as "news."

I could care less about this guys half cocked interpretation of nadamola's little review of a unfinished beta. For the love of God grow some standards and stop posting every little fart that smells faintly of cs:s. We are all desperate and pathetic gamer nerds, but even we have better things to do than read through some nitwits commentary on his latest bad dream about them changing something in CS.

I poop on him... and I poop on you.

please enlighten not only Your's Truly, but us, on what better desperate and pathetic gamer nerds do. please do (please exclude conversing about overclocking CPUs, videocards, etc to gain 2.5 FPS, gaming mousepads, etc).

my take on it... leave boosting.. stance suggestion is a good idea as Bruce Willis stated... maybe shift+crouch (animation of guy leaning forward and bracing himself?)

I'd like to see a realistic animation for boosting as it is in real life quite realistic. I'm sure the source engine has the ability to do this, after all the rag-doll physics of a corpse in the engine looks quite damn realistic. C'mon valve, make CS:S a game we'll all love as much as we loved CS 1.5

how about 1.0 - 1.3? CS is gradully degrading, and many of the people playing play because its CS, and play with the knowledge that the game isnt near what it once was

Damn, I liked boosting. That would suck if they rid of it. And hopefully they make it so when you jump on objects they don't go flying out from under you. It confuses me as to how some people in this thread see this as realistic. If you stand on the flat end of a barrel while it's upright, ofcourse you could balance on it.

It won't make me quit CS:S, but it's going to be a moderate blow.

Sounds more like a whine and bitch to me.

Besides CS : CZ are going nowhere, if your machines old then done for CS:S. Also CS:S has miniumum requirements, if your machine doesnt meet it then dont get it.

What bothers me thought is the fact he's judging something he hasnt played! Hes making assumptions.

I can tell you from the HL2 leak that you can stand on barrels, but you have to line everything up straight, otherwise its falls over, considering the barrels width isnt as realistic as it should be.

I guess it's just obvious this guy completely misinterpreted nadomola's comments. It was a useless article and that is 3 minutes of my life I'm never going to get back.

Not too bothered if I can't boost, I guess if I wanted to stand on a un-natural model I would play CS. If I wanted to play with an accurate model (well ish :p) I'd play CS:S.

I don't know about the boosting thing.. To me it's still not clear if it's really not in CS:S just because someone couldn't get on a moveable barrel once.. We'll just have to wait until the beta is here to know for sure.. For now I see no reason why it shouldn't be in CS:S..

About the comment that CS:S requires a fast PC.. Well doh!! It might be an old game/mod, but it's a new engine people.. How do you think HL/CS ran on people's average computers 5-6 years ago when it first got released?? I was playing on a PII 300Mhz, 128MB and Voodoo2 8MB system back then.. 5-6 years later I'm still playing it, but now on a P4 3Ghz, 1GB, 9600XT 128MB.. Go figure!!

Would be cool if you could at least move a table, and boost off of that. No boosting at all would be a major removal of fun and skill in my opinion. Since no one evens knows if thats factual, its pointless to write up an entire article on it. Wait till it comes out at least..
