LAN Tournaments Blowout

July seems to be a hot month for upcoming LAN tournaments, and to prove that we have information on three new upcoming events.

• cp lan party, held in washington, dc will run from july 23-25. there will be a cs tournament with a $1600 prize, $1000 going to the winning team.
  
  
  
  
• the ati meltdown event will be held from august 13-15 in montreal. the lan features prizes and cash totalling over $15000 as well as free pizza throughout the event.
  
  
  
  
• cyber heaven lan also has an event on the horizon. the lan will be held in virginia beach, and will run from august 20-22. the event will feature a 5vs5 cs tournament with a first prize of $2500.

Sorry. I can't really forget what I don't know about however. The extent of my LAN knowledge is limited to the news submissions.

Uhm. Extremly small LAN's!



Here in tiny Norway, we have lans with people up to 6000. The small ones are at 300-800.

6000 is way to big imho, not fun anymore.. I usually goto a big lan 2x a year, those are 1200-1500 people, that's big enough.. We also organize our own clan-LAN like 5-6x a year, that's only 12 people, those are really the most fun.. Just a couple of friends, beer, junkfood, 8Mbit internet and alot of gaming, what more do you need??

I wish TN had huge LAN events like this, so many people down here would come its not funny. People just see TN a redneck hole (I fucking hate rednecks...) and none ever get started.
