Well, aren't these CS 1.5 players still gonna stay with CS 1.5 when CS: Source is out? I'm sure those are the people who just don't have a good internet connection and bad com.

They are people with 56k or are decent people who *wont be pushed around* by stupid updates. they play what they like. and they like 1.5
Heck, who wants to play 1.5 on Steam? People who play 1.5 do so to avoid the steam system in the first place.

I know I definetely wont "upgrade" to Steam.
I do have the CS, HL, and Steam files on CD already, so I could get Steam right now on my 56k connection and be playing within an hour since I wouldnt have to dl any huge cache files.
I dont understand what people mean when they say Steam and CS 1.6 has more bug fixes and works better. All I ever hear about Steam is people having FPS problems, hitbox bugs, (btw, we dont get any of those in 1.5), connection errors and lag spikes, and whenever a game update comes out, Ive heard (and seen at the steampowered forums) that Steam and all its games go down for days at a time. I was talking to a friend of mine who uses Steam, he had to stop playing for 3 days because of an update recently.
I dont want to use Steam instead of WON because I dont like Steam and the version of CS that comes with it. The only way I would think about using Steam is if Valve officially released CS 1.5 to be played thru Steam. I know theres a third party mod, and I even tried using Steam for a few hours with it, and there werent any players, or maybe just a few online. So until Valve decides to start distributing CS 1.5 themselves as an "official" game for Steam, (because if they did that, there would be a lot more players), and the WON servers go down, I doubt I will be playing CS or any HL mods online again.Comment

Gee, who's losing out here? Certainly not us, somehow I don't think you're going to be missed. I suppose Valve is going to miss out on a little bit of cash. On the other hand, you're not going to get to play HL2.
Not buying anything from VaLVe EVER AGAIN~!
NO HL2
NO CS:CZ
NO CS:SB1
Steam SUXS!
I hope they start charging pay to play so all you steam users can rot in hell.
Ouch.Comment
