you started confusing, its a bad card but not to bad but decent is basically what you said :-\ its decent but has horrible timings?

and timings are completely independent based on the 3rd party card you get, the normal ATi 9600xt, the timings are a bit off but I've found them to be more expensive :-x

Indeed they are.

9600 = 4 pixel pipelines, 128-bit memory interface

9800 = 8 pixel pipelines, 256-bit memory interface

BIIIG difference.

edit: no, i don't play CS, i just check here for news on CS and if it has become less-suck or more-suck. I find it to be the latter of the two. when CS:S comes out perhaps I too can return to being a gigantic douche that likes harassing people about their Service Pack version.

about the article on hl2 fallout. very very basic stuff. lots of his own opinions which are not entirely correct most of the time. i was expecting it to be like that. i mean how can anyone write a guide on what hardware to buy for software that hasnt even been released yet?



ill see how it runs on my 1ghz athlon with gf2mx before decidingn whether to upgrade or not. i have a feeling it will run slightly worse than those who spent 1000s on new hardware :)

You should get one of those motherboard bundles with the RAM and CPU, you can get 2.5Ghz ones or so dirt cheap.
