CS:S Blow-out

Counter-Strike: Source has been the focus of some major coverage recently:

• most importantly, counter-strike: source will have a beta release. the beta version will be released within the coming months to valve's cybercafe "partners," and then to owners of counter-strike: condition zero.
  
  
  
  
• we have three new movies for your downloading pleasure on our cs: source movies page. due to high demands, the only way of freely distributing the file is through bittorrent. please be good torrenters and try to get that 1:1 ratio going! of course, cs-nationalists have their own file mirror. we're looking for a few mirrors to compliment the torrents, though. check out the movies page for details.
  
  
  
  
• wait, a cs: source movies page? yes, kelly, our counter-strike: source information section has opened! we have a great faq, all the screenshots, and lots of movies.

While we haven't suffered any major downtime, we have had major database issues over the last day. This is because we are being Slashdotted, as well as getting a lot of attention because of our awesome CS: Source coverage. Basically, we rock too hard for our own good.



Other people rock too hard for their own good, as well. Nadomola has been with CSN all the way from South Korea, delivering us with videos, screenshots and even interviews. Dathorn Internet Services is a great hosting company that has donated too much bandwidth to count. Finally, Valve itself confirmed our BETA story and let us have a 20 minute exclusive. But it was a damned good 20 minutes.
