Also, the carrier should run slower and it should work correctly...If this is too much hassle they should just scrap it.

Basically, yes, take the shield out of the game. Or try to introduce something new and creative for the Terrorists to purchase/use that could combat the shield in a way.

Well, the original idea of the Riot Shield was a good one... the problem was implementation of it was horrible. Anyone remember how glitched and abused it was? People were able to have a primary weapon and carry the shield as well. I know I did it a few times without trying.



For the sake of speeding up development of the game, I'm all for removal of the Shield from CS. The simpler you keep the game, the less bugs/errors/glitches you will have.



It's also a balance issue IMO, the Ts had nothing to counter someone who was good with the shield. The only thing you could do was have supressive fire, and then have someone close enough knife them through the shield (which shouldn't be able to happen, that's a glitch IMO) or have someone flank them from the backside. And at times, I've shot someone with a shield in the back, and the shots wouldn't register. You just see the sparks fly.



The majority of the community wants to see it gone, and if they've played 1.6 Beta, you know why.

Remove it. The whole CT team can easily win if they all buy shields. Plus, the hit boxes don't work right with it. If you aim and shoot an unprotected part of the body, sometimes the shield will still block the shot.

In My opinion, the shield is great, it brings more realism into the game, after all, it is a Counter-Terrorism modification.

What is realistic about a guy running hundreds of yards all over the place with one? It looks retarded and is actually VERY unrealistic in its implementation within CS.



Get rid of it. I am tired of restricting it on our server. Plus, every new patch seems to include new problems with it.

Shield i like. I never use but it adds something to the game and its more realistic since most CT teams have at least one guy with a shield. If you are a friad to go near a shield guy your a pussy. Just rush em(they usally let you too) and just shot right through the damn thing. I like more stuff in CS to keep it intresting. It also adds anthor element to the game you gotta learn to over come. If you hate them goto a server with them disabled ffs.

the shield can make a game very one sided..... VERY.. just get rid, it's annoying and people will just use it more bcos it will become more predictable becos of the physics engine

Keep it!!! It's fun to run around and tick people off once in awhile :) besides, its good for noobs to get used to cs.

lose the shield, they released it with no community apporval. One has only to look at the number of NO SHIELD servers to see its unpopularity. It adds no strategic elemnt to the game and jsut infuriates people.

I believe that the shield is another great addition to the game that the players must get used to. The problem with the shield is that it is not implemented into the game's structure too well. By fixing this problem, the shield would be a welcome item. People always whine about new additions to CS, but I see it as a challenge for more strategies.



Now the AWP, that's a problem weapon..
