    New CS:S Movies

Our new Counter-Strike: Source Information section has just opened (see this post), and already we have new movies. to show you all. We are the first site in North America to host the three movies now available on our CS: Source movies page. Thanks to GameMeca.com, a Korean website, for the media itself. They only allow downloads for South Koreans, but thanks to nadomola no one will be left out!

First time visitors/downloaders should note that CS-Nation membership is required to use the free Dathorn mirror, but that registration is totally painless and totally free!

Thanks again to nadomola for his help in getting this video up and running.

I'm unable to access the Nationalist server

Edit: It's only the 3rd movie that I'm having trouble with.

The 3rd movie must be filled with "annoying" - not to me - screams. Don't bother to download it if you're easily annoyed with a new language. Oh...and again, thx to Rizzuh and Seaofp of Narics.net for providing this wonderful opportunity to share the great joy. :)

                  My general observations/thoughts:

                  - Interesting new HUD sprites

                  - The new HE explosion somehow seems more...violent.

                  - Also an interesting new flash effect...I wonder if they added any auditory effects as well?

                  - They added lights in the Dust2 tunnel.

                  - CS: Source (at least this version of it) doesn't seem to include the location system added in the recent 1.6 and CZ updates.

                  - The reflection of the dude playing the game fading in and out of the background is freaky.

                  - Excellent display of the physics engine, even if it does look like all the barrels way about one pound each.

                  - I like the actual "zoom effect" when the player zooms the aug.

                  - People in the desert don't take very good care of their automobiles.

                  - The third video was corrupted during download it appears, so that's it for now.

As a point of reference, the 3rd video is almost exactly like the first two videos here from Seoul, Korea. It's not broken up into two sections however, and also runs at a higher resolution.

I am absolutely loving the new flashbang effect

                        Nice.

I just can't figure out why they didn't get decent people to play there. Surely it would be more impressive to see players with skill taking each other out rather than noobs running around spraying. ESPECIALLY in the "clan match" in the 3rd video... I scrim better CAL-O teams every day. The Ts didn't seem to have any strats at all; they just split up and ran aimlessly to their deaths. I noticed at least 1 TK and 2 suicides. It would have been painful to watch if it wasn't so damn funny.

Personally, I was surprised by the almost complete lack of headshot kills. I think I counted only two in the first two videos...still haven't checked out the third.

I was only looking for them to see what kind of death animations accompanied headshots.

It was just an exhibition match. Hence, their focus was not to win. They were there to show the new features of playable CS:S, that's it. That's why they shoot barrels or even tried to stab someone with a knife. If they played as they usually do in a league, we would have fallen asleep and couldn't see any rolling barrels. Would you buy a shield and camp for an entire round given a chance to play CS:S? Huh?

Still odd how there weren't many head shots...

                              Hitbox bug maybe? ...
