farewell Sierra, you made some awesome games in your time (Lords of the Realm 2 and others) and you stuck your name on some great games too (Empire Earth, HL). I salute you and i'll put a SIERRA LOGO magnet on my computer case to commemorate your achievements!

its kidda sad to see a great company like Serria, I bought many good games from them, and will greatly miss there stuff. Well does this mean their games are like worth more now to sell I got tons and I'll ebay it haha

Barely newsworthy on a CS site, but I suppose some of you are interested all the same, if only for historical reasons.



Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounded like simply the Seattle office of Sierra is being closed down. Vivendi still owns the Sierra brand, though, as far as I can tell, so dropping the website wouldn't necessarily be the best move. Why rid yourself of a recognized brand name, if the costs for keeping it (minus employees) is relatively low?



Anyway, good riddance. Hopefully Vivendi won't make as many stupid mistakes as Sierra did in their last few years, but I kind of doubt it. :P
