    New CS Source Pic

Thanks to Chris_D for informing us that merc, a Half-Life2.net forum member, has recently visited Valve Software's HQ in Bellevue, WA to get the latest scoop on that company's upcoming releases. It turns out that merc scored a Counter-Strike Source digicam shot, seen below.

CS Source is the official Counter-Strike port to the Half-Life 2 engine. Want to know more about CS Source? Read our "next version info" page!

that screenshot isn't a very impressive rendition of dust.

slow news day probably. But ya, that could easily be a retextured dust on the HL engine.

the screen looks pretty much like CZ now. Nothing compare to games like FarCry or even Raven shield.

the pic isn't that impressive, but the shear number of quick launch icons blows me away...I count at least 40

correct me if i am wrong, but i thought de_dust took place in the tex-mex southwest not on the Arabian peninsula, so why are there palm trees in the screen shot?

the texture of the walls and the sky box also make the screen shot look like its from cs_arabstreets.

fine by me...just looks like it's a totally different location.

:/ A port of a 5 yr old game to HL2. I never did like ported game. My mine might change with this one.

I really want CS2, not CSS.

I don't know, CS2 could be screwed up(though unlikely) CSS we pretty much know will be awesome. I just look forward to shooting someone that's in a corner and not having them fly through the wall so only their ankles stick out(or on dust coming out of the far side of hallway as t and shooting the ct's close to you so they fall over backwards over the railing). Heh, I bet those moveable crates aren't there on aztec anymore! Imagine moving them over the bomb or infront of the doors.
