Half-Life 2 Nearly Finished?

In a recent HomeLAN Fed interview with Gabe Newell of Valve and Tim Burns of Nuclearvision (creators of Codename: Gordon), Gabe states that Half-Life 2 should be ready to ship to Vivendi in a couple short months.

HomeLAN - Finally, we have to ask; how is Half-Life 2 coming along?

Gabe Newell - Good. It's in great shape. We anticipate delivering it to Vivendi in August.

This is certainly some great news if all goes according to plan, and let's hope it does!



A special congratulations goes out to Codename: Gordon which has reached the 600,000+ gamers mark since its release three weeks ago!

Originally we were going to release it on April 1st. I even wrote a fake press release that went something like, "Due to tremendous pressure from the gaming community to ship Half-Life 2, we looked long and hard at the game to see if there was anything we could cut that would let us ship sooner. It looked like if we cut the third dimension, we'd be all set, so after five years in development, Valve and Nuclearvision proudly present Half-Life 2D." Fortunately saner minds prevailed.

Yes summer doesn't end till September 22nd, but some of us start school in August I start August 10th and I was hoping for atleast a late July release to get some digital substance in my blood

Yea Zips thats basicly what I meant I want to play it while I dont have school. I could care less what season it is while I'm playing it.
