Play for money, play for fun or for whatever you want. But just don't quit your life for it.

For how much time CS is in the stage of being a "sport" or sth to get paid for doing? 1 year? 2 years? You see, it's been pretty fast. So, the question is not "Can you make a living of it?". It is "If you can, how long can you make it?" Nowadays, FPS games, especially teamplay FPSs are the most popular ones. But maybe 3 years later, we can be talking about any other different gaming format. Pro-gaming or e-sports has no clear future. You can't estimate what will happen even 3 years later.

And one day, when you gotta go to an interview for the job, what will you say? That you were one of the top CS players in the world? Come on. You have to set priorities for actions in your life. And attending to your current school, whichever it is, should be at the first place.

thats you..not everyone. and like every sport, u take risks when u play them, just cuz u dont risk breaking ur arm while getting tackled by a football team doesnt mean theres healt risks, so think about wat ur saying before u start saying cs is bad or w/e..if u think u should lay off the comp, point out ur problem an solve it..for example, if ur fat, dont eat so much an get excercise..

You're posting on a Counter-Strike Fan site's news item calling other people nerds. Go look up the definition of 'hypocrite.'

True Smurfzilla. This whole "get out and get a real life" mentality that people are expressing is quite ignorant and annoying.
I think it's valid. Sure, saying "hey guys, quit playing CS and go hang out, drink beer, and party" is pretty stupid. However, doing something with your life besides merely entertaining yourself and passing the time is a good idea. It doesn't mean don't play CS, it just means do other things as well that will actually be worthwhile in the long run.

For a majority of you, that could be something like reading a book or learning spelling/grammar so your messages aren't so annoying to read. :P
