If you had actually read the article before you decided to make a fool of yourself, which it seems you didn't, members of the community were the ones who tracked down the hackers. This is why Mr. Newell said Valve owes the community.

Actually, the reason you're a jackass is your endorsement of criminal activities. I also fail to see why the concept of the game being hacked and the code being stolen being the reason for the delay is, as you so eloquently say, "BS." It seems pretty reasonable to me that they had to rewrite a ton of the code for the game to make it less easily hackable, not to mention changing parts of it so that it would still seem "fresh" upon its eventual release.
