i just think it's wasted money, when HL2 + CSS are released in a few weeks.

and i don't own a credit card... and i expect from the shops in germany, it won't cost 35€ it will cost 50€, like every other game, too.

It isn't expensive, it's just another game, if you want to play it, buy it. If you don't want to play it, don't buy it and stick with CS.

With most indicators of HL2 pointing towards 'late summer', it's interesting to hear rumors about id suggesting to their publisher that they delay some releases of theirs scheduled for the third week in June...



I still won't pay $30 for CZ, though. I've got much better things to entertain myself with before the likes of Doom 3, Half-Life 2, and especially STALKER grace my hard drive. Splinter Cell is good single-player fun, and Rise of Nations is quite enjoyable as a highly refined RTS game in both SP and MP games. And I've started experimenting with Far Cry's editing tools; they seem to have lots of options, and make a lot of the tougher work with other tools pretty easy. There's really no reason to spend any money to play a game I can pretty much already play, without having to pay any more than the $40 I initially gave up for Half-Life. I've got models that look better, and levels that look and play better (de_predator is a great example).

I love these 'Ill have Stalker, doom 3 and half life 2' to keep me busy replies.



For starters, whats out? Doom 3 in about 2 months and CZ is already out. Its laughable really, your relying on games that arent even out to keep you busy apparently, while CZ is there, its cheap and you can easily enjoy it as much as the above games.



Stalker wont be out for eons either.

I've now spent a good 4 hours testing out CZ 1.2, and that I must admit I am quite impressed. Here's a short review on the new features / maps:

» Hostages: Models look good, the behaviour (flee, duck, wave CTs) is excellent, but I fear that the voices / sounds will be pretty repetitive after a month or two



» SPEZNAZ / Militia: good work



» Crosshair: Finally! :) That's something the community was requesting for ages, even though I'd love to see a RGB colour mixer + more sizes.



» Player Location System: Very nice. Up until the point where I noticed that TeamSay has the location attached I was looking for the variable to use it in text binds. ;D



» Maps: Sienna and Vostok are both entertaining and highly likely to make it into competitive play ( given they're released into 1.6 / or CZ & 1.6 get merged ). Even though I didn't like all the doodads that CZ introduced into inferno, the night is a good change.



» Shield: Well I couldn't figure out in what way the shield behaviour changed, but I still wasn't able to snipe a shielder USPing me . too bad

Concluding, 1.2 is a superbe addition to CZ, ty Cliffe

I will get this game because of this update... But I fear I can't afford both this & HL2 (especially since some places say the CE will cost around 80$)



But my primary store is closing down soon so they have 20% off on everything :) And if I combine that with the "lowest-prise guarantee (sp?)" I think I can get it for around $20+ That's quite okay I guess :)
