RealBot Goes Open Source

Like PODBot and JOEBot before it, RealBot is now open source.

• a new forum has been opened for specific source-related questions.
  
  
• a cvs system is up and running, so you can apply to become a team member and work on the official version.
  
  
• there is also a 'starter kit' which provides nearly everything to get it compiled and running.

Now I can finally make the bots I've always wanted, Sex bots. You should head over to the RealBot Site to get started.

who really cares about realbot anymore? i used to use it and it is horrible compared to the CZ bots (you have to set waypoints manually, not as "smart", doesn't speak on mic, etc.)



I guess CS people might like it but if they really cared much about bots probably a good idea to buy CZ for $20 now.

Still not as good as the pod bot i bet. podbot didnt have a bunch of files to install either, just downloaded it and extracted the files. Done. Not, put this file here, put this file there, blah blah.

guess you havent used it since it wnet WIP then, you dont make waypoints, it learns from you, so the more you play the more it learsn, they also dont run into walls (ive seen CZ (i have CZ i get my CZ bots to teach RB then use RB to train)do that) they also dont cost, and also have an easier to navigate command system



we are also planing on a Voice module (not official, and so dont quote) and other features as seen in CZ but done to a better standard and you wont have to pay (yet come on were not going todo it for free (j/k btw it wil be free))

who cares about bots? its not worth 20 bucks to get bots that use there mics steelV...most of us just play with REAL people, not REALBots, CS is dieing, an with it i hope CZ goes down too..Its no better, just because it looks fancy an has the GOOD version of 1.6's upgrades, doesnt mean its better than CS now.
