The texture for the road in the first and third screenshots looks pretty ugly. It's probably mostly the low angle, but shouldn't the devs have AF cranked to minimize ugliness like that? In specific, there's patches of blue and red, rather than a smooth blending between the colors.

It's not the best texture ever, I'll grant you that. It's caused by saturation sillyness between layers...

I totally agree. I bought it the day it came out on steam and have had a blast playing it. Unfortunately, (like I said above) I do not know of any of my friends that I enjoy playing CS with that have bought it... So I am stuck playing a somewhat inferior game - CS 1.6 - when a very similar game (with a few cool improvements) - CZ - exists. I am strictly talking about multiplayer here. (Single player was fun too and well worth the 30 I paid for it just by itself).



To keep it short - CZ and CS 1.6 to me are still the same game but with one having cooler graphics and the other having more people/friends playing it. And no matter how many sweet updates made to CZ I am probably going to keep playing 1.6 instead.



It would be cool if more of my friends (as well as most people that love CS) bought CZ, but I think the years of free updates from valve have corrupted them

There are still a lot more CZ needs before it's worth my dollar. I don't understand why CZ has so many bugs you can find in CS. If I'm going to pay $30 - $40 for CZ, it'd better have all the bugs that are more than 4 years old and also found in CS, fixed.

What amazing updates? I purchased the game, waste of $30. I seriously have no idea what was going through my mind when I said "Hey, let me just buy this when I can get the same useless stuff for free! Go me!". The new skins, you can get on the net for free. The new maps, you can easily download.. for free. Basically, what I paid for was the bastard child of league and public play. I figured at the very least, the bots would be decently intelligent. Nope! I was amused though to watch my bots stare at the floor, walk by more powerful weapons with no intent of picking them up, run to the wrong bombsite while I was already defusing the bomb, and just generally get in the way.



Deleted scenes was actually somewhat fun, but hardly makes up for what CZ really is: Prettier CS. It's a wonder to me how many of you CZ owners are actually happy with the game! Then again, I look at what site this is, and how one of the highlights of it is the Custom Skins library, and how many of you dig into it daily. CS was never about looks, it was about gameplay. Even if it WAS about looks, CZ graphics are subpar at best.



I'm not saying we should have been given these updates for free (maybe the hostages update, though), but it's really ridiculous if you think about it, how this game is nothing more than CS with different skins.

but seriouslly, CZ is owned by about 5% of the "legit" owners of CZ, so its not hard to find new friends (ones with money), look around, Ive had CZ since before it came out (loverlly Russian insider stuff) then bought it cause i knew it would be good (steam bought love that discount still had to pay import tax on somet i dont physiclly own)



If you are waiting to buy CS:S or HL2 guess what it looks like your going to have to buy both unless you buy Platinum/Collectors, so buy CZ now, and wait for CS:S in the knowledge that it will proberlly come faster if they get more money.



I think what he ment by CS and CZ becoming one was the original plan (still to come into effect) that CZ players can play on CS servers, that way they can have there skins and sounds, whilst still being able to play with there cheap ass friends.

k say you own a CS/HL key, well 5% of them either bought CZ off steam or in store, the rest of the CZ owners are the new comers

warez versions of CZ dont work online. even with your legit HL cd key. ive tried, i know

For all you peeps not knowing whether to buy CZ or not because you have CS....well,

I just bought CZ because I saw this update coming out. I thought it was probably gonna be a waste of money....but i was wrong. I think it looks really nice compared to CS, everything seems nice and crisp graphically and the models look really good. I even had the ripped CZ models that were put into CS but they do NOT look as good in CS as they do in CZ. If I were you, I'd buy it.
