South America and Counter-Strike

GotFrag has released an article concerning Latin American professional Counter-Strike teams, and how they fare against others. Said article also addresses differences in playing styles as well, and covers well known teams such as MIBR, g3x, Equilibrium, and their performances in a recent LatinCup 2004 tournament.

At the LatinCup 2004 that took place in Lima, Peru, we saw many "pro teams" from the different countries and regions of Latin America; however, with the exception of MIBR, g3x, and possibly PuntocL, the majority of the teams in South America have yet to leave home and compete on an international level, despite their capability of high-level play. Are we talking about a different level of player development in these Latin American countries? Does a difference in playing styles between North American, European, and Latin American exist?

yep as soon as the un, nato and the mighty usa get to work on providing lan centres and high speed internet to the nations that are deprived of this basic living requirement the better. (yeah yeah i know you were talking about food :p)



anyway, good read. makes you wonder why they would want to play cs when they live in a permanent summer surrounded by supermodels. just goes to show that no matter where you go you'll find some nerds! hurrah!

i dont like black women, i do not find "sistaz" attractive. period. and suddenly im a racist? so next time i say "george bush sucks" you will call me "unpatriotic"? i have the right to dislike any race i want for whatever reason i want. just like youre allowed to put your shoes onto the dining table, for example.



im quite sure you will be singing a different tune if a member of your family was killed by someone from an "ethnic minority". so dont preach to me about racism and ignorance.

I find beautiful women in every race. It's fine for other people to have a preference that way, though, seeing as aesthetics are a personal thing.



However, the second comment there was out of line. I don't care what race someone murdering a family member is. Murder is murder, and just as there are beautiful women in every race, likewise there are evil people in every race. Categorizing someone's looks based on race may be valid for someone's own view, but categorizing the actions of an entire race is completely unjustified, and does show a level of "racism and ignorance."



Cultures, on the other hand, I think are fine to dislike. People don't choose what race they are, but they can choose whether they accept or reject the culture they are raised in, difficult as it may be.
