Oops, forgot its a Pro edition but I was just curious because I got it in Feb and you know how computer development goes , and no I'm not bragging there is plenty other comps out there that smashes mine to bits.

I played Farcry demo and it was really weird on it also FPS loss a lot, and settings was only on medium-high. I didn't care for shadows or stuff. Do I need to turn up AA and AF in vid option?

hmmm......... need team fortress 2 shots now

i think weapon models could use some improvement, along with muzzle flashes, but thats being really picky

that would be so great if hl2's multi player came with hl2 deathmatch +css +tf2, then add in some dod source for good measure

Tracid: oh sorry, thought you were :) Anyway, I think it should be more then enough to do HL2 / CS on Source. Remember they once said HL2 would even run okay on a 800 Mhz computer...

That's odd. I have a nearly identical setup, slightly faster ram/gphx, and no FPS drop on Farcry with all settings on high. What mobo and harddrive you have?

PS. Obligatory wootage to Valve for this blessing, I'm going to the E3 and will leave a bucket of drool as is called for.

Would running these graphics intensive games on 1280x1024 res 32 bit color with high settings shoot FPS down? I'm fairly new to the tweaking aspect of PC.

I hope they don't ruin the CS expirence too much with the new engine, but I do hope they go all out on the physics!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what mobo it is since I got it from Dell, its the 8300 Dimension. But from what AIDA32 tells me its a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80011. Also I run all my games in 1280x1024 res, could that be the problem? My monitor is a 19 inc M992 monitor from Dell.

In the meantime I project 2010 as releasedate, negative? yes, but who made me that way?

btw, does it run on longhorn and dualcore cpu's and pci-express?

That just makes sales for HL2 even higher! (hopefully)

My opinion: Just because it's CS on HL2 doesn't mean it should be called CS2. Sequels (to me) indicate lots of new stuff and nods to the original - CS:Source is CS1 updated for the Source engine. It doesn't warrant the CS2 title.

Of course, that leaves many questions about CS2... which is even more exciting!
Okay then, in that case, who developed this CS Source port? Is it not Valve? This video is being shown at E3, right?

So if I'm not mistaken, this is an official CS mod developed for HL2, with improved models, physics, maps, skins, sounds etc. I dunno, it would seem like CS2 to me...
