Hmm...I can understand this thinking with games like the Metal Gear games, strategy games, a few FPSes, RPGs...but as for CS, no. CS is too slash-and-run for it to be considered a good thing. If you're out to develop skills by playing video games, Counter-Strike is the wrong way to look, at least as far as non-league play goes.

Before I played online games I never used terms like 'u nub' and 'omg h4x' so it greatly enhanced my social skills and judgement I guess

And making pictures of prisoners in embarrassing positions and putting them online, well these skills soldiers must have picked up somewhere too, numerous advantages indeed.

Today hysterical attacks on cs related chat and sites because they removed the AWP exploit, tomorrow Bush voters.
