that "revinue" wont last for long, before csn resorts to more "in your face" advertising just like gayspy did. give it time. soon the money pot will run dry
In the four years that CSN has been around, no one on this site has made a single cent from "in your face" advertising. If you think modifying our title image or posting sponsored news crosses a line, then I'll just say that the only reason we do it is because we don't want to annoy our users with advertising that can ruin an entire site.

Basically, hold off your crticism of CSN's advertising until we actually do have "in your face" ads. Plus, it's not like we're advertising Tide Bleach over here. FarCry is a sweet game, which narby had a hand in developing. Be thankful that UbiSoft is supporting your community, if anything.

Thanks for your feedback about the ads, though. I honestly don't think the title image is "annoying" but we will keep the price high enough that your average company can't get a custom title image made for them.

No kidding - I just picked FarCry up over the weekend...it rocked my face off. I had just upgraded my vid card to a FX5900 and man that game looks sweet. Not to mention the physics they were able to create with the Cry engine. If HL2 is anywhere near that good for it's visuals and physics I will seriously spooge everywhere.

BTW - People need to stop whining about the ads unless they buck up to help support the site. I'm not a nationalist, but you won't see posts from me bitching about ads (cept back from gayspy). Besides - you should give FarCry a try anyway - you won't be sorry.

I think this rocks as i can be arsed with cdg forums mentality, when i go over there. they have skilled guys, but do they have to tell everyone how skilled all the time?

Oh and farcry is amazing but plese please please FIX THE MULTIPLAYER!

Remember when everyone was getting all worked up because CSN was hosting a contest in which the winner would receive the chance to buy a knife from some website? All of a sudden everyone was saying "How dare CSN sponser such a wrong contest that would give children, as in 18+ year olds who are the only people elligable to enter the contest, knives!!?!?!?!?"
