AMD processors use less cycles but have more power than a pentium pos processor. AMD 1.8ghz is better than a pentium 4 2.5... i have tested many diferent processors, overclocked amds and overclocked pentiums... amd processors always win out in graphics and pc benchmarking... Take your head out of your ass man!

Ok, First to clear some crap off of the Intel vs. AMD rivalry. Pretty much its al preference. All my life i have used Intel Pentium II's, III's and IV's. As of now, i have a Pentium IV 3.00ghz with HT. That would cost something about $300-$500USD bucks OEM/Retail. AMD's cost less, definately. AMD Athlon XP is like $300USD retail, i think. I haven't owned an AMD in my life, so correct me if i'm wrong, but my friends, and my cousin's friends have had problems with AMD's. I've heard they overheat fast. So if they overheat with stock cooling fast, then you would need good cooling to help. So you would buy a good case, a good thermaltake (of other good brand) CPU fan, a few case fans and whatever else. So it would probably cost a little less then an Intel, so its all a preference. Its kinda like nVidia vs. ATI. 2003, ATI definately beat nVidia like nothing. I am personally an nVidia fanboy, and i got a GF FX 5600 128MB AGP8x, and i definately think a 5950 would have been better. That's probably the only good nVidia card as of now. But wait for the nVidia GeForce 6 series. the 6800 Ultra(NV40), $500 launch price. pricey but absolutely nasty. blows away the 9800 like the 9800 was a nVidia Riva TNT 16MB video card (a little bit exaggurated). Anyway, search google for some benchmark tests and other stuff.
Now on to CZ. I was pleased with it. I started playing CS at the 1.5 era, summer '03. No, i am not a noob, and i think that they shouldn't have changed the aiming patterns in 1.6 They are wayy too much luck. And now cz, even more headshots. I go to aim, BAM! headshot with 1 click of my mouse. wayy too easy. CZ was made to be single player, so you shouldn't need to comment on the multiplayer. The bots are nasty, and DS was pretty good. Yea, it was way too easy, and the bosses were fuked beyond belief (druglord takes almost 70 7.62 NATO rounds with an M60 to kill) It was fun while it lasted.Comment

Been playing Deleted Scenes all day today, I have to say its all very fun even with some of the dodgy AI, bosses and lifespan. All in all CZ is a useful addition to the Half-Life/CS Universe but i cant help feeling it could have been soooo much better.Comment

As soon as you come out from behind your shield cover - *Bam* - headshot - you have been killed... frustrating.. really frustrating...
btw.. its almost impossible to get away from the bot if you see him.. he will follow you as soon as he spots you.. in the end you get the above mentioned scenario..
P.S. while you storm the house, your teammates die cause the campers terrors kill em.. so by the time they are all dead, you are usually left alone against 4 terrors who are camping in the house.Comment

Just a note for everyone fight about AMD vs Intel.
PC Magazine just recently reviewed several AMD CPU's vs several from Intel. The Intel chips were ALL at least 1.0Ghz faster than the fastest chip from AMD. The AMD chips were ruled to have better multimedia support, while the Intel chips had better throughput with data transfer. That seemed to be the story for the whole test, AMD edging out Intel here, but Intel edging out AMD in another area. HOWEVER, in the final benchmark regarding overall processing power, they broke even.
Why you might ask? The AMD chips were using less cycles to process the same data the Intels were churning over - in the end both processors were rated to have roughly the same real world speed. AMD's chips were all around the 2.4Ghz range, while the Intel chips were all around the 3.4Ghz range.
To me, this just means that they are two very competetive companies and both produce great stuff. AMD just does it cheaper.
Also - regarding the myth of AMD chips running hot - I think this is more of a "fact" perpetuated by a few select cases of a stock, non-overclocked chip that overheats. I've seen the from Intel - and I've been working in IT long enough to know. I've owned 5 different AMD processors in the past 3 years, and have 3 of them still running - never had a heat problem and I overclock everything like it's going out of style. Just an opinion, but I found few references to this problem online.

took about 3 hours to complete the game.
half of that time was just on 1 map where it was vs 8 T's. When i did it first i couldn't rescue hostages because my team mates would kill all the other team before i had a chance. I then re-played it with 6v8 and all the way down to 1v8 just so i could get the god damn hostages before my team killed the T's.
now it shouldn't be that hard to do - and since when in real life do you kill all the terrorists and then leave the hostages there and not rescue them :? :[
After eventually getting the hostages to follow me, if i saw a T i couldn't kill him and had to find another way around the map so the hostages could be rescued - with him chasing and shooting me. :|appended @ [time="1082646669"]Mad Dog McKill wrote..

Ahem. If the game stinks to everyone here, THEN WHY THE HECK ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME TO WRITE ABOUT IT!!!!!!! If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Didn't your mom teach you that? Personally I think the game rocks. I have a 56k connection and to all of the 56Kers out there are very glad of this amazing AI competition. Also it's challenging against the bots :P But they don't pull off any crazy moves either. So thank you to all who helped in the creation of this game.Comment
