I played it when it was released a long time ago and I was suprised at how well the game was. It suprised me to see a pretty good racing game using the HL engine. I haven't tried the new version so it's probably much better.

WOW this mod sucks .. and it took them 5 years to do this ... it looks like this was made by a mongloid within a week ... its soo buggy and its too damn hard to control

This mod is in its beta stage, so of course its going have lots of bugs like any other modification. You can't expect their first release to be flawless and look amazing like retail packages. HL-Rally is an especially daunting project because it tries to turn a first person shooter into a rally game. In the process, they had to redesign the whole physics engine of half-life which spawns numerous bugs and glitches. The whole community needs to be supportive of new mods especially in their beta stages. Since you say anyone can duplicate what they did in one week, i don't see you with your own rally mod.

In terms of being a HL mod, its a good game (simply because it must have been hard to develop), but as a racing game, it sucks.

I think it's kick ass. After you get over the fact that you can't do 150km+ around a turn and you actually drive not just point in a direction it's fun. If your into NFS and hate GT3 driving ... it's not for you heh. Try it anyways it's pretty fun.

When i first read about this i was half expecting driving around maps shooting other cars... hahaha... anyways, this thing was more fun than expected even though it is kind of hard to handle... but once yah get the hang of it, its not half-bad... at least that's what I think.

I think the most annoying thing, is the start...I always forgot to shift into 1st...maybe it's just me...I'm kinda slow :-/ (At HLRally... =D)

You can change to automatic...Go to customize and on the bottom left you will see "manual" and then a red box beside that...Click the red box. Red means manual.
