Dammit, I have to stay here at work for another 7 hours.

Is the improvement really that good?



Would have been interesting if entering a CD-Key did display the user who happened to be using that particular key, but then I have never had a problem with someone stealing my CDkey. I got in there nice and early and got my low SteamID etc.



Hopefully this new faster startup will also cause less of a drain on the content servers as they seem to show a persistant connection while starting as well as a heavy CPU usage.



Steam is the mutts nuts, tho it needs to bin unsecure servers altogether.

Man, with each passing Steam update, it seems less and less likely that opaque radar will ever make it into CS, despite the fact that it was "next on the list" back in January
