This was released like 2 months ago.

I made note of that in the article if you had paid attention at all.



Also, I've been giving this program a try for a while, and it's a lot harder to use compared to 3D Studio Max. I've used 3DSM for nearly two years now, and this is probably 20 steps up in difficulty. I guess that's the price to pay for a better quality program.

i could be about 10 times more excited if hammer for HL2 was released instead of model maker. at least you would be able to mess around in a HL2 enviroment with the physics and such.



also.. i tried out modling program, i guess if you were making models for a new HL2 mod your working on it would be cool but other than that its a waste of your time to download. even if you do make a model you have to pay money to export the finished model to a saved usable state... nice marketing trick...

No you don't. All you have to do is register it, which is free.

owned. Yeah, I've been trying to learn myself in XSI, and needless to say it's tough. I watched some of the XSI video tutorials a couple of guys from Valve recorded and posted on softimage.com. They're pretty funny, even if I didn't follow a word they said :)

yeah i did at first.. the download box never popped up.. but it worked the second time i tried.
