    Korea: Home of the Pros

Korea. What first comes to mind? Divided country? Fine automobile makers such as Daewoo and Kia? How about home of the greatest gamer to ever live? Or perhaps central hot spot location of computer gaming? If not, this article will most certainly change your views on Korea and gaming.
All these players live in Korea (although both ElkY and Grrr are foreigners) and at least 1,000 of them earn salaries averaging $30,000 (higher than the average pay salary) playing mostly American games online. Their sponsors have made these cyber athletes wear uniforms featuring corporate logos and insignias.
Everything from the players themselves, PC centers, corporate sponsors, specialized TV shows, and other issues have been addressed in this fine read. Interested? Then you may head over and read it right now if you wish (with a free registration of course).

The proof is in the millions upon millions of people who know who he is around the world. He lives the life of a rock star in Korea, just about everyone knows who he is there.

The article has nothing to do with CS. It's all about Starcraft. Anybody knows that the Northern Europe is home of most CS pros.

The article isn't solely about CS. It shows how people in Korea make a living out of gaming and how different it is compared to other countries. And I agree with you on the CS pros and the Europe thing. However, it seems that a lot of Korean pros dominate in RTS genre games (Starcraft, Warcraft). I guess it's becuz CS isn't as popular as Starcraft in Korea as it is in Europe or US.

Yeah, everyone knows that Germany is the REAL CS Nation, haha, am I right? Okay, stupid puns aside, Id have to say that the countries with the most gaming are Korea, Sweden, Germany, and the US.
