CSMapCentral.com has had a period of downtime after being hacked a little over a week ago. Now they are up an running, albeit with default themes at this stage.



While it may not look pretty right now they have just announced version 2.58 of their Remote Map Installer. This handy tool auto-magically downloads and installs maps to create a smoother creamier Counter-Strike experience.



Apparently the new version was bought out to deal with some PHP changes so your old versions won't work and unfortunately won't auto-update like they should. Head over to www.CSMapCentral.com to download the RMI - free registration is required.

surprised you haven't heard of it, awhile back we had 8000+ members before i relaunched in fall 2003, and since then we've worked up 3000+



the site has been in csnation news multiple times, and i wouldn't be surprised if most of the staff has used our map installer more than once



but hey, if 10,000+ people is nothing, i'll just haveta work harder on getting the word out

lol loki, yes, the default theme blows, the themes that we had before are incompatible with the CMS that we're currently running, so a new set of themes is being worked on ;-)

i'm glad you like it ;-)

there's a few users that are having an error with it, but aside from that limited few (not sure what the deal is yet, working on it), it seems to be working great for all the others



generally no feedback is good feedback, since that means it's apparently working fine for the users not posting, lol



but thanks for saying that alien, good to hear something positive once in awhile :-)
