Mine did it too. Try the 'Exit and Logout' feature, start steam back up, log in, and try to preload again.

Yah, that's what I did. I just RAR archieved my entire steam cache.

From 1.4 GIGs ( Those GCF's are REALLY Compressable ) I shrinked it to 400 megs. Talk about compression.

thats because GCFs have a lot of empty space. dont expect miracles with a full gcf.

mine stopped at 71% I just hit pause and continue and it started up again

im preloading it so i can just type in the cd key so i dont have to sit for a half an hour having to switch discs



and my opinion, i have to have the cd, i just do it makes me feel better.
