As we have reported earlier on the resignation of Frank Nuccio, founder of the Cyberathlete Amateur League and commissioner of the CPL, GotFrag has written a farewell article on Mr. Nuccio. It addresses the background, his numerous contributions, and much more.

I think it's pretty safe to say that without Frank Nuccio, it would be extremely unlikely that Counter-Strike's professional eSports scene would be where it is today. Frank's pressure on the CPL, before he eventually became the league's commissioner, helped to move the CPL in the direction of team-based eSports games. Even before that, it's important to look at the impact of CAL upon both Frank and eSports.

It is very unfortunate to see such a prominent figure leave the scene, and on behalf of CS-Nation, we wish Mr. Nuccio nothing but the best. You may click here to read this great article.

before shooting our mouths prior to acutal thinking, frank nuccio resigned due to his family pizzeria company making some long strides as of late. as a result, he has resigned and will focus more on his family business that has been going strong for well over 50-60 years.
