This is my first crack at the newsbits, so please, be gentle.

• chances are you have played a map created by a fellow named realdespair. if that doesn't ring any bells, he created fy_iceworld among some other maps. the interview itself is fairly interesting and can be found over at the gamedesign.net website.
  
  
  
  
• we have another interview on tap, this time from the new and improved gotfrag. they interview danny "frod" montaner, from united 5, who is an up-and-coming professional cs player. the "controversial" interview can be found over at gotfrag.
  
  
  
  
• a new skins site has opened, cs-skins.dk, offering a wide variety of skins and models to choose from. they even have some map and steam downloads. go ahead and pay them a visit.

You should also go ahead and stop by our forums, which are chock full of useful information, off-topic posting, and many other fun antics.

My map fy_satanchrist was banned from the internet and almost every mapping forum becuz I used the name jesus in the story.

Sorry, but I cannot take seriously any mapper who gets an interview for creating a room with 4 blocks in it and bad lighting. He got lucky.

Anyway, the interview is completely hillarious. You've gotta hand it to a guy who has come as far as RD has. I looked through his site too -- very funny, although not particularly politically correct. Nice work.

Anyway, somewhat amusing interview with RD, though he's obviously not one of the eloquent mappers, heh. :)



As far as CS-skins.dk goes, I'll look forward to seeing if they add any skins in the future that we don't have here. For the moment, though, it's just a subset of our fabulous Skin of the Day archives.

That interview was rather boring and bland. This RD guy seems to know just how to give the most uninteresting and arrogant answer to the questions. If he's trying to give a good impression of himself to readers, he seems to have failed with me.
