wow I'm getting pissed off at steam, cause for the second time in two days I have to reinstall cause some little error happens while updating and then causes an illegal operation so that I can no longer open steam at all without getting an illegal operation and the whole thing crashing and burning.

Don't want to stir up crap, but its always the same with steam. Every time they have an update they cant handle, apparently they were DDoSed. Just a teeny bit of a conincidence? I think not.

Would it not be easier if they could use us FTP hosts again? I mean, have Steam download the update via our FTP's and not their servers. They could split it evenly.

Instead of asking how "perfect timing" Steam have when it comes to large updates, ever thought that that time is the easiest time to cause the most trouble and ruckus? Doing it exactly at a major update would mean lots of pissed off people, and Valve having an even harder time.
