BBC Reports on Female CS Players

Ms Maller is part of a growing breed of professional female gamers who are shaking up the traditional image of a gamer as a male geek who spends hours in a darkened bedroom, shooting anything in sight.

guys, yes i'm a guy too, you'd best learn right now that what you think about how women "are", what they "want", and how they "think" is probably 90% wrong. when you say things like cs girls = n00bs, even in jest, you make yourselves look like idiots, because if you think that, and even if you think that's funny, you are an idiot. look at the converse, cs guys = n00bs. that is a statement so general that's it's meaningless, same goes for the reverse. i'm sickened by how lots of guys act when i'm on a server and there's a girl playing, i mean they won't shut up! they feel compelled to just keep bothering her and bothering her. and trying to be cool and just "talk" to her "like one of the guys" is completely transparent besides being obnoxious.
