CS Server Monitoring Programs

Recently there has been a couple of nifty little CS server viewing programs that you may wish to check out.

• First up we have CS Connector from those who created the HLTV Tool. The CS Connector allows you easily go to war related IRC channels, scan and test any war server, exchange game info, has a built in color manager, and also has a built-in chat feature.
  
  
  
  
• There is also Altered Realms Tray Spy 2 that is geared towards server admins, but can be used by clients to watch their favorite server without being in game. This tool will allow you to monitor and administer your game servers. There will be a spot in your system tray for each server you wish to keep an eye on, and will allow you to quickly join the game with a single click.

steam does the job as good as any..

I used to see about 30 servers under 100 ping, but now I only see about 10. There must be some sort of bug with the steam server browser, because some servers that I get 30 ping on, aren't even in the server list.

i dunno, it works grand for me anyway.. usually get about 600+ servers below 100 ping

woah i just ran the steaminstall.exe without uninstalling steam, and it fixed, woohoo.

Mine works when I add faves to it. The only thing on Steam that stops working from time to time is the "Friends" feature. But that's trivial to me. My friends are usually in the same servers.

If yours isn't working correctly, it may be corrupt and perhaps re-installing it would fix it.

As recently as a year ago Steam had severe growing pains but mostly it works fine now. It is a much more convenient way to get updates and such rather than thousands of people flocking to websites and standing in virtual lines to download them. Those days are thankfully past. It always took over a week for everyone to get up to speed. Because of that, Valve would save up all of their updates until they had one big enough to release. Now, they can just send small ones out through Steam as they go. It is much more efficient.

and whats the deal with the steam browser using default views every time the window is opened?



and when i said it doesnt remember the favs added, im talking about the one in the game. if u add them outside the game (right click on systray icon), it remembers them.
