    Whisper's War Strat Guide

Whisper has written up a guide for clans wanting to make it in the Counter-Strike world and named it The Very Basic Counter-Strike War Strategy Guide. The guide is oriented towards Whisper's home community over at Game Arena, but contrary to what the title implies, there's a lot of good info here that's of value to the advanced CS player as well. An excerpt:
What this Guide is: This guide is meant to explain many of the common mistakes new and even experienced clans make, and can affect the outcomes of wars you play in, usually in the negative if you do not heed this advice. It also explains some basic buying strategies so clan leaders can call for something specific and after studying this guide, everybody will know what they are talking about. For the most part you require no skill whatsoever to execute the advice offered here, only a modicum of intelligence and concentration.
Judge for yourself and read The Very Basic Counter-Strike War Strategy Guide, then feel free to engage in on-topic intelligent discourse here on the CSN forums.

some stuff I don't agree with, but I think its a decent start for beginners who want to learn how to play competitive cs.

What I want to know is why he keeps calling matches "wars."

In addition to that, he has the word 'eco' in there. I thought that word was cut from the CS vocabulary with the latest money system change? ;/

cos theyre a shitty ass nub team that has no clue about competetive cs, let alone pub.

eco: using glock/usp and nothing else against opponents with armor. now think about what you said, the new money system basically FORCES you to do just that. why would it be cut? do you have a clue about wtf ur talking about? have you ever played a scrim? have you ever got a headshot that was made on purpose?

the australian cs community call our matches wars, for whatever reason that is i do not know. So dont go flaming them when you have no idea about what your flaming about.

Thats exactly right, is there some kind of standard that we have to use? All, if not most the Competitive games that are played here are refered to as wars.

Just because you guys dont know him doesnt mean hes a noob. Theres quite a few people that know who he is and the amount of effort he has put in to help build up the community. Helping manage and compete in the biggest CS competition that Australia has to offer isnt exactly something small.
