For libel to apply, you have to speak authoritatively. Journalists can be construed to have authority in the matter. On the other hand, 12 year olds whining on a web-site can not be construed to have authority in the matter. Perhaps I'm snarking on details again...
Technically, (although it will never come to this) this is libel, and these 'hackers' could sue you for damages.Buddah wrote..

Let me get into a rage here... see, they didn't arrest anyone in the post that I read. But they could have: Being at a particular technical university, I am acquainted (read: met but not friendly) with people in various rogue computer hacking factions. It's a little scary to think that the FBI can barge in and take all your shit and arrest you if they find ANY evidence of illegal activity, not just related to the matter for which the warrant was served. Because if you look hard enough, people have loosely incriminating material all the time, depending on how hard you read the law-book. Very scary.
... But what about the other Hungry Programmers? :OComment

X-BOX has a Hard-Drive, and you can put Linux on it. It's like a computer, so why not? If you can put an OS on it and use the internet, you could hack using it, couldn't you?
Xbox... Controller.... Plastic Container.... wtf....lopinboy wrote..
You can't put Linux on an iPod, and an iPod doesn't have internet access.
Yeah... but it's still retarded. That's about the same as if they took a iPod or MP3 player.Comment
