    CS:CZ Not On Vivendi's List

UPDATE: This may all be a big mix-up, since the games list was part of a Vivendi financial report, and that could possibly mean that Condition Zero will be released some time before April 1st (The beginning of the new financial year). From Planet Half-Life:
Some people have pointed out that perhaps CS: CZ has been lumped into Vivendi's 2003 financial year, which is why it's not on the above list. If that's true, then CS: CZ will be published before April 1st. Again, a lot of this is speculation.
It is speculative, indeed. We will be sure to keep you up-to-date on any official announcements that come our way.

After numerous delays, development changes, and leaks, it seems that Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is heading for yet another road bump. The guys over at Planet Half-Life are reporting that Condition Zero is not on the recently released Vivendi 2004 software list. Planet Half-Life deduces the following:
Does this mean CS: CZ is canceled? That the game will be published by somebody else? Or is this just some sort of oversight? We don't know for sure, and neither Valve or Vivendi are talking, so draw your own conclusions.
This is of course entirely speculation, and it may be a bit extreme to say that Condition Zero has been cancelled. There is not enough legitimate information to draw that conclusion. However, this could very well explain the latest delay of Condition Zero. You can read more at Planet Half-Life and you can see the actual Vivendi list right over here.

While you are patiently waiting for Condition Zero, I suggest you peruse the now-public CS-Nation forums. There is an entire sub-forum devoted to Condition Zero!

Maybe they should release the game so we can play it on our computer machines before it becomes the next Watergate scandal.

I think VALVe has done everything they are going to do, and it's in Vivendi's hands now.

I am utterly shocked. A delay in the release of CZ? Inconceivable! Seriously though, even if Vivendi thinks it's crap and doesn't want to release it, can't Valve get the rights back to shop it around and release it with somebody else or through Steam? Sure, the game isn't gonna be as hot as it might have been if released a year or 6 months ago, but they still stand to make $$ off of it, and they've put a lot of time, money, and work into it already. It would be a shame if the game just never came out. Plus they might be in violation of agreements with Prima, the strategy guide people, who printed up a gazillion copies of the guide that aren't going to sell until the game materializes.

At least HL2 was on the list.

The financial year in gaming industry starts on april 1st, perhaps it's still listed for '2003' and coming out in 60 days?

I feel sorry for those people with Xbox, if that list is correct they wont be able to play Barbie Super Spy on their consoles.
