Updated Steam

After a day at the slopes, I return with news of Steam updating with a few minor changes involving the server browser. Skiing can be very good exercise, toning your leg muscles and testing your endurance. However, today I chose to work on different parts of my body such as my face, which repeatedly met the ground at high velocity. I also worked on the fine art of body-slamming myself into the tightly packed snow and proceeding to slide, roll, and tumble several meters before stopping. The moral of the story is this: Restart your Steam so it can auto-update and install the new patch. There has been a small update to Steam this evening. This release mainly affects the server browser.



SERVER BROWSER:

• fixed bug where "no lan servers on network" message wouldn't appear in server list if no servers responded to lan ping
  
  
• fixed bug where servers weren't being sorted by ping by default
  
  
• added region to filter info string
  
  
• added installed mods to game filter dropdown
  
  
• change game filter to display full game name instead of short name

Heh, I was better than him on my first time, but I'm a snowboarder. Anyway, this update stinks. All updates stink unless they FIX THAT DAMN SPEC_MENU BUG!

I think that the CZ has been there since last update, not sure though. GJ to Valve though, atleast they are staying on top of something.

Is it just me or does it seem like they force themselves to update somethign every week? I'm sure it'd be better if they just waited and updated less often and only when they needed to. As it is, it seems like they spend more time looking for new ways to update without actually concentrating on the main/annoying bugs.

Semms like a slightly useful update for people new to half-life who wouldn't have understood the folder names used in the filter dropdown menu.

The fillter for installed mods is wellcome... I play SvenCoop, NS and The Specialists and filters only worked in game before this update...
