I'm guessing if you're just looking for, say, North American servers, then it's going to list that as one of your filters in the line at the bottom of your server-browser box.



But yeah, the startup time and memory overhead of Steam is really starting to get on my nerves. I guess I'm finding it hard to see why a program with less functionality than your average chat client needs 40MB of memory to run, even when it's not doing anything.

Liking the mod filters greatly! Now if they would fix friends so that it actually shows people in game when they are in game correctly ALL the time.. that would be just great HINT: If you get this problem, try logging in and out of friends options > my status > offline / sign in

The weekly Steam updates are allowing it to shape up. Friends network still could use some work. It would also be nice if the history tab would function, I don't like adding a bunch of ip's to my favorites just to remember where it was I played the day before, or hours prior. All in all, I'd have to say that Steam is definitely shaping up. Also would be nice if you didn't loose connection if you don't have the next map on a server. My .02 :)

A LOT of these bugs seem like they would be easy enough to fix (history tab, spectator bug, friends list, or insert another small bug that frustrates us). My most frustrating is the stupid dumb bug where you add a server to your favorites and the next time you restart STEAM they are magically gone! Makes me MAD! Point being ... All of these bugs would be an easy fix with a simple change of coding for some Programming Savy Nerd over at VALVE. So here is my theory: Something bigger is going on over at Valve that is requiring those Programming Savy Nerds attention. I would maybe assume preparing for a STEAM release of CZ (seems like they are getting prepared since that icon popped up). Anyone like the idea of a CZ release to go along with the change to the money system in a few days?

Really, I'd wish they'd skive off a week and work on bugs that won't be fixed in a week, if you know what I mean. Spec_menu, pldecal.wad loading, custom sprays not showing, AKs being better than autosnipers...



And how about some updates to the secure servers? Just yesterday I saw someone with a very classic aimhack, one that wasn't even that good at hiding, and it still was able to be on the 'secure' server (the one that makes you download the security thing on joining).
