CS2 to be bundled with ATI Radeons?

The hell with ATI now. I don't see any good reason to support them anymore. If they can't get their act together I will not buy from them. I think they should do a big press release that apologize to all the gaming communities, everyone that bought their video cards for HL2, and all the other bullshit and false advertisement that they did! I think valve should get off the fucking lazy asses, and get the fucking ass gears moving, and get working on HL2. I also think that if one person can hack valve steal code, and release to the world, I think that is fucked up, that they don't release a game because one person fucked it up for everyone else. I think we should blame it a lot on that one person who ruined it for the rest of us that spent the 200+ dollars for HL2, and will not be able to get any time soon. Also its ATI fault, they shouldn't have said or released those coupons when Valve wasn't going to do anything with HL2. I think that this should how horrid companies can get when making a product, sigh. I guess its UT2004 for me now

Yep I heard those also, and I think they are true. It is a load of bullshit. You do not false fucking advertise your product and then plug the fucking plug. Thats how you get those people pissed and get it ruined for everyone else...

Why the hell would you pay 200+ dollars for HL2? The MOST it will cost is $50, whent it comes out. You payed 200+ dollars for the VIDEO CARD. HL2 was just a nice bonus.



Also im sick and tired of hearing everyone moan and groan about HL2. Yes, it was delayed, thank you for pissing about that again. I know and you know that when HL2 comes out, you're gonna buy it (i dare you not to buy it when all your friends are having an amazing time with this incredible game. Still not gonna buy it? As someone correctly appended - this is just a rumor. Sorry if the quote and reference to rumor mongering didn't make it clear enough :)



Although The Inquirer is not 100% accurate it is a professional source so I think this has a degree of truth behind it. The key will be whether this was an Offer VALVe made, something on the table being negotiated, or something actually being drawn up.



It might be important to add that CS2 could be included with HL2, but not vice-versa - this would be a similar arrangement to their currently succesful use of CS as both a free mod and a $$ earner.

If you took half a second to think before blaming ATI for your life's troubles you might have realised that HL2's delay isn't their fault. It's in Valve's hands...ATI have no more control over the game's release date than apparently you have over the ability to reason. Direct your ill-conceived teen angst at something that matters.

I thought that a while back it was announced that HL2 was being made to be geared more towards nVidia cards with special effects that only people with nVidia cards could experience?

I like how everyone is getting mad at ati and valve telling them to finish hl2, this is an article in the "Inquirer" not a press release from valve or ati.



Also to the guy a few posts above, I highly doubt they would ship CS2 (or even TF2) with HL2. It just doesn't makes sence from a buisness standpoint. CS2 isn't a mod, it has it's own staff that is getting paid to make it. With a community as big as CS, they would loose lots and lots of money not selling it retail.

Actually, CS2 is probably only worked on by Gooseman. No big staff there, so they won't lose that much money by shipping CS2 with HL2. TF2 on the other hand has more people working on it, so it would make less sense to ship TF2 with it. Plus the fact that Valve said TF2 will be stand-alone.

I mean, a "well-informed, inside" source from Vivendi supposedly said that they had the gold version of HL2 and they were producing copies to be shipped for the Sept. 30th date, but that was no good either.

You can't blame ati..it's valve who delayed the game, and they delayed the game so far back that ati had enough time to create a new graphics card. You can all just calm down and put the gun down, CS2 WILL BE RELEASED AFTER HALF-LIFE2. "A very well informed" source said that, well the only reliable source anyone could think of is VALVE and VALVE isn't very reliable with their sources!
