all i can say is, i hope these bots have depth perception, cuz the ones in 1.6 beta did not. they repeatedly did "contests" to see who could acquire the most damage jumping off the ledges or roofs in cs_assault.

In other news, EBgames and Gamestop pushed back their listed release date for CZ this week from 3/16/04 to 3/25/04. But Amazon.com still claims they'll have it on December 30th... meh...

Also, Invader Zim rules. "Grr, what does the G stand for?"

They were really lifelike, sometimes I would almost forget I was playing against bots at times, and begin to develop hatred for a particular one.
Dude, I know! I installed adminmod on my computer so I could slap dem bichz. Raaaaaarrrr!!! How sad is that? lol

This is a revolutionary news for those who create or enjoy custom maps that may be much better than some of the official Counter-Strike maps. I actually enjoyed playing custom maps when Steam beta allowed us to play with bots that seems to be a very early version of the bots in this interview but still were quite impressive. Only con was the initial analysis of custom maps takes too much time;however, I believe(hope) it has been fixed now.

Finally, you can enjoy de_museum or so on so on with human-like AI players who act and benefit you much better than noobs who are actual human.

Great interview, but the big question still remain to be answered, when is CS:CZ going to be released, Sierra is really making all of us looking like fools

Maybe VALVe should use Activision as their publisher from now on. Imagine if the same thing will happen to Half-Life 2.

"The Master CD has been sent to Vivendi" (VALVe) - 2/18/04

                  ...

"The game got delayed" (Planet Half-Life) - 3/03/04

Even a wildly new person at cs can play the bots on hard mode and do alright. So Noldster I do prety much doubt that :)
