CS NEO Update

[CSN NewsBot]

Anyone remember Counter-Strike NEO? Namco's arcade LAN version of Counter-Strike, exclusively for Japan, launched months ago in that country. Now, GameSpot has a four part story up of its development and success (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4). Namco says that CS NEO revenues are up, while other Japanese arcade games are slowly declining in popularity.



The official CS NEO site has plenty of great screenshots of the game, including the hilarious models which seem totally out of place to me. Maybe I'm just getting too old for the crazy futurist look.

the weapon models are the same as the once in csx and cscz, the player models, however, looks extremly out of place and ugly. Crazy japanese.

And what the hell is up with that pyramid map? Those guys make some weird maps.

Looks interesting atleast. I'd like to play it and just see what its all about. Some of those maps look interesting.



I'm suprised nobody has ever gotten a bootleg copy of the game to extract the maps and what not.
