My clan and I recently started renting a GriffinRUN server and we've been most pleased. Unlike other server providers, they can give an odd amount of player slots. I personally found their customer service to be very courteous and understanding, and their prices have been getting more and more affordable over time. I can personally recommend GriffinRUN, coupon or not.

GR is actually cheaper than GD in some regard. If you want a server you can really utilize to the fullest you'll need > 10 slots for HLTV or whatever. So with GD you would have to buy the next size up from 10, which is 12. And that cost more than the 11 slot GR server.



I've been through 5-6 server companies myself and GR is by far the best. It even comes with free web hosting and domain which is kewl.

Well, I believe that GD provides you with a free HLTV with a 10 man server. 10 people + the HLTV.

GriffinRUN gives me some craaaazy low pings, considering I live in Spokane, Washington. My clan would probably have one, but they're far too expensive.



My clan currently has a Paradise Pings server. It's about $32 a month for a 12 slot server.

seriously though, if i ever were to get my own server, it would be 32 player with WC3 mod on it. 32 player servers are full 24/7, and with wc3 mod on it, even more popular.

If his server would be the gayest ever, it would have to be tied with about a billion others, considering 32 player war3 servers are pretty god damn common.

GR has great hardware and a great connection and they even have cfg's that autoexec which, setup sv_maxrate 0, sv_maxupdaterate 100 and other good stuff so the normal joe shmoe who rents a server doesn't even have to know how to setup the proper svars to make it from a "decent" internet server into a "great" internet server.



I have had a priv 12 man GR for the last 6 months. It is probably the best configured server on the east cost. 250fps avg w/ sv_maxrate 0 and pings avg 20ms with 101/101 25000 rates. Game play doesn't get any smoother. We have actually had a 10 on 10 scrim before where nobody went over 25ms! amazing..



I'm commenting on the NYC location btw.. its piped through 8 different backbones and even has a little lower ms then the GD NYC location server do.



With the hardware and connection GR provides I can make one of the best performing internet servers you will ever play on!



ps. anyone paying out the butt for an amazing GR pub should be shot if they ever put superhero mod or wc3 mod on it! ok, maybe not "shot" but I'll certainly smack you if I ever seen you on LAN! :P

It wont do you any good. In a 5v5 match there is no room for HLTV with your 10 slot server.



Our clan had a chicago GD which was 10 slots, we were going to upgrade to 12 so we could actually make use of HLTV till we discovered GR offered 11 + free HLTV with equal public spec slots to your server maxplayers (ie: 11)

i used to run a 32 player, but with all the bugs that amx + wc3 had, i had to stop running it since it was crashing all the time.

btw, nothing wrong with a little WC3. keeps CS interesting. in fact i see more team play on wc3 servers than on normal 32 player ones.
