this makes total sense from certain viewpoints:



In order to make cyber-gaming more mainstream, it will have to become like other mainstreme sports (i.e. politically correct). Basketball (WNBA) and soccer (WUSA), and to a lesser extent hockey and football, all have female-only leagues. Nobody calls them sexist, right?



In order to generate interest from girls you have to give them other girls to look up to. For guys it's simple, look at the rosters of the top 5 clans during the Cal-I season and they're all guys. For girls, it's not that easy. Giving them their own league would get them interested in cybergaming, allow them to be competitive within themselves, and it may even improve the competition level of other leagues if all-girl clans leave and join the female-only league.

The FUCKING funny thing is, I don't want gaming to become a mainstream sport, because it isn't. Gaming and sports doesn't sound like a good combination to me, and a lot of people will back me up on this. Deep down, you all know gaming is NOT a sport. It's simply for fun, and getting too serious is definitely a problem. It shouldn't be a sport anyway, not like anyone looks up to fatal1ty. Whatever happened to the simple days? Technology is evolving for the worse, in some areas of society, in my honest opinion.
