    News Bittathon

Hold fast, dear Counter-Strikers. We have news, in bits!
    • if you're running zone labs firewall, be warned that their latest update removes the joy of cs from your life. version 45_530 will cause counter-strike to freeze up when launching an online game, so if you're planning on updating - beware! thanks to le gritche.

    • half-life 2 has won a golden joystick award for "most anticipated title" for 2004. and at this rate, 2005 too. here's the crack. thanks to focus_dis for the item.

    • insane pack has reached version 2.0. among the interesting changes there can be found a lovely new skin for the riot shield. more information can be found here.
I'm sad to say that's all we have time for. Tune in next time for more Newsbits!

Might as well give it the Most Anticipated award for 2005, 2006, and 2007 while they're at it. :P

Reason #243294324 why you should not use ZoneAlarm. Use Norton PF 2003 Pro.

U know whilst that insane pack isnt that bad, the swat shield is superb, for pub play, unsure about its cheatness, its see through, and plastic, and just looks dagnabbit cool. As shield is mostly banned in league play nothign wrong iwth using the clear see through plaggy one imho

Agnitum Outpost Firewall is the best out there IMHO...

I really will be celebrating the day HL2 ships...

Insane pack isn't that bad? Insane pack is UGLY. Worst skin pack I've ever seen (well, not quite, but it's up there)

I use McAfee Firewall. I tried using a version of Norton's firewall that came with my PC. It was crap compared to the McAfee Firewall.

You should check out the 'hostage shield' on the CDG forums... it's a tad better then the one in the Insane pack ^_^

I use ZoneAlarm and it's always on with high firewall security. That guy probably just has a crap system and it overloads his memory.

ZoneAlarm pwns j00!! Norton is crap, it takes up too much memory.

Maybe where you come from it is, but here in the north of england it's "crack".
