God... I've been updating for f@ck knows how long and it certainly seems a long way to go. I'm certainly going to see what the auto snipers are like since I think I never used them before (after all, I'm a n00b)



EDIT: Hmm.. the monitor keeps saying it's u[dating Half-Life rather than CS. Maybe Steam is re d/ling all the caches again probably because Steam froze when it was converting my old HL installation. Oh well...

Did you guys noticed that new small blinking icon indicating that bomb has been planted? Small addition but nice and quite usefull i must say since blinking is synced with bomb's beeping.

There's been a red x on the radar showing where the bomb was planted for a while...if thats what you are talking about...?

when connecting to every server i have to wat 5 seconds while its downloading some security module. every time i connect.

Yeah I get that as well. Doesn't bother me too much though, I just wish my autobuy and rebuy would work. When I try them they say something like unknown command cl_autobuy and cl_rebuy...WTF?



AND omg radio sounds don't work anymore...whats the deal ?

I dont use radio commands so sif knows there...

the autobuy and rebuy commands dont have a cl_ infront of them either, so there's one of your problems



Also, did anyone else notice the 'men' down the bottom of your screen in cs_ maps? It reflects how many hostages you can kill per round before the server boots your ass. (It drops a man every time you kill a hostie)

Did they get rid of that bizarre "cold barrel" glitch where the first 3 to 5 rounds from the G3 and the first 10 to 15 rounds from the SG550 are horribly inaccurate...?



There goes the classic days of buying a G3 + Elites/SG550 + 5-7 to give everyone a good laugh... if the auto snipers are that good now, we might see them being used in CAL matches...

I'm curious what they're like on broadband. It took me something like 23 rounds with the SG550 on full auto at medium-long range to take down a single guy, and in general I found them to not really be any more useful than the scout, at a much higher price tag. Not really much better luck with the G3-SG1, unfortunately. I figured Aztec would be a good map to test them on, but anyway...



If you can't aim well, though, the upgrades might have made them slightly less horribly inferior to the AWP. Didn't see many people trying to use them tonight, unfortunately.

Yeah, it's the same for Ts in de_maps indicationg that bomb has been planted, nice stuff.
