Steam Update Is Live

The aforementioned Steam update is now up and running. As usual, you must shut down Steam completely and restart it to get the update. Maybe the auto-snipers combined with the rebuy option in concert with the player shadows will make me unstoppable! If not, I'll still have fun trying out these new updates.[break="click here for official changelog"]

COUNTER-STRIKE CHANGES:

• improved damage and accuracy of sg550 and g3sg1 sniper rifles
  
  
• added small shadow underneath player
  
  
• added autobuy and rebuy functionality to buy menus

ALL GAMES:

• added extra progress indicators for downloading & initializing vac security modules
  
  
• removed 'cmd dlfile' console command from being accessed directly from the console
  
  
• fixed servers not being in world list if they specified a region on startup

the shadows dont match the map shadows because it is only a small circle directly under the player, like the sun was exactly above the player...

The auto snipers are hysterical it's so funny to be able to kill people with them now. But nonetheless it's for the better.



Is it me or is gameplay a lot erm...smoother...now? Like as if the characters are moving more fluidly instead of the previous "jagged"?...

yeah i feel you on that penzsnap. i cant put my finger on it, but maybe its the shadows? haha i dont know, everyone in the server i was playing in noticed the same thing.



and then the map changed to airstrip and everythign was jerky again... sigh.

Hmm, error:

SteamProcessCall(StartLoadingCache) failed with error 1: Win32 StructuredException at 201D6792 : Attempt to read from virtual address 93445268 without appropriate access rights.

Guess I'll try deleting my Steam\clientregistry.blob file, and see if that helps like usual...

I noticed the autobuy and rebuy commands don't work... Anybody had any luck with these two?

LOL, i thought only i noticed that strange smoothness :]

Shadows are very cool, game looks a bit more real, but THEY ARE TOO SMALL, my dogs balls have bigger shadow ;P

CT's auto-sniper is cool, i havent tried Ts auto yet.

Yeah I tried autobuy and it worked. Haven't tried re-buy since I'm so good that I never die. Actually I just forgot to try it.



Speaking of which, anyone know how autobuy chooses what it buys? I did it once with about $5500 and it got me a M4 and 100 usp rounds armor and a dFuse kit but no nades and I had about $1500 left.

if u play DOD, delete the DOD cache file.
