GameSpy Reviews CSX

Owners of the Xbox will soon have the opportunity to play the undisputed king of PC online action gaming. That's right, Counter-Strike is on the verge of being released for the Xbox. How does it make the translation? To answer that question, GameSpy has posted one of the first CSX reviews on the net today. Giving CSX a commendable 4 out of 5 stars, they also had this to say:

Counter-Strike is a fantastic online shooter for the Xbox. In fact, it's possibly the best game currently available for Xbox Live.

With high praise like that, it seems Counter-Strike made the transition to Xbox with flying colors. You can read the rest of the review right here. Now if I were only filthy, stinkin rich enough to afford both the Xbox and CSX...

i'd get cs-x for my xbox except i dont feel like dishing out an extra 80 dollars just to get xbox live.

"ps2 > xbox" isn't a well-thought out opinion. Just saying that the PS2 is better than the xbox doesn't exactly make your position any stronger. It is a comment that could very well invite others to get into a discussion over which console is better. Now this is key: Not only is this an invitation to a flamewar, IT IS ALSO OFF TOPIC. This thread isn't about which console is better at all; it is about how GameSpy gave a good review for CSX. If you can't stay on topic, don't post in the particular thread. It was also clearly stated earlier that "my console > ur console" comments would not be tolerated. So don't do it.

looks great and even tho i own a xbox, i have it for the pc already and i dont think i'll need it for the console. i'd rather buy some other games on my wishlist instead

Good to see it got a good changeover through the port. I mean, how could you possibly make CS have bad gameplay, even if the graphics are a little subpar? I won't be going out to buy it since I already have it for PC, but I'm glad to see that CS can now create a few addicts in the console area.
