The CPL has officially announced its Summer 2004 Extreme Championship, sponsored by Intel and the Pentium 4 Processor Extreme Edition. The event, held at Grapevine, Texas, will go on from July 28th to August 1st with 4,000 BYOC spots available. Main event at the championship, no less, will be the Counter-Strike tournament and the cash prize fund expected to be up to $100,000. It's increidble how money has become the barometer of who owns who in esports. Really... Can anyone own the organization that first made it all happen? CPL prizes are based on specific sponsorship agreements not on ownage.
20% discount is the $60 price. That goes up to $75 in January.Comment
