Because then people would bitch about having to restart/update Steam Every Freaking Day. Does that help?

Don't agree with this for the most part, because now you'll just see people type "kill" in their console to do a save round. You should at least receive some money the next round.

No, and it's wrather illogical.



Updating steam usually takes less than 15 seconds for me, and not only that, but I restart my computer every single day, let alone Steam, as do most of the people I talk with. So your post doesn't really ring true.

No, people will not type "kill" in console. It's very important to get one or two kills on a save round, to either get a gun or at least make the enemy rebuy or save. On top of that kills give $300 to the killer.



And lets not forget, save rounds are not always completely un-winnable.

It takes time to code updates for Steam... Also, having a set date for updates lessens the impact on leagues.

all i want fixed is the bug where sometimes when you are CT, you get the T buy menu... i always end up spending $1250 on a nightvision when all i wanted was a defuse kit...

Try using RzE's CS Helper. You can bind a key to automatically buy a defuse kit, among various other helpful things.

The spec menu bug can easily be fixed by hitting esc a few times... and when that doesn't work I alt-tab out of, then into the game as my last resort.

Yeah, typing through console can be a pain. I hear lots of people say they don't have sound too. I have always had sound since 1.6, now 1.5 and prior thats a whole 'nother story. Yes and people please bind nextmap and timeleft, it gets so annoying watching people misspell it twenty times. :p

Not sure how it affects nVidia cards, but the Alt-Tab using a ATI card will cause your monitor refresh to drop to 60hz, which is like pouring vinegar on you eyes.

Never happened to me... I usually get inverted weapons (you know, from right hand to left hand). God I hate that It's so hard to press H and go and change by moving the mousecursor a few centimeters
