CAL-i Season 9 Playoffs Round 2 :: de_train

The second round of the CAL-i playoffs begins tonight. Rival, 3D, TSG and u5 all recieved first round byes because each won their interdivision title. TSG has the easiest match tonight, where they will play SYB. Granted, SYB is a very strong team and came close to playoffs last season but their level of playing is just not up to that of TSG's.



3D faces off against TEC. The last time they played each other, on de_nuke, TEC came out with a resounding victory. Elude from TEC has been playing at the top of his game and he may be what will make or break TEC in their match tonight.



u5 is coming out of a bit of a losing streak at the end of the regular season, with one of their losses being from shock. It was a close game and I think that tonight it's going to be another extremely close one but who will win is anyone's guess. These are probably the two most evenly skilled teams in the playoffs right now.



e7, everyone's favorite surprise CPL team, is scheduled to play Rival. While e7 has done some roster overhauls since the CPL, it hasn't seemed to hinder their playing one bit. However, Rival did beat e7 in a previous UGS match 28 to 2 and that could be an omen for tonight. Will e7 choke in the CAL playoffs like they did in their UGS match vs. Rival? u5 ended their losing streak last game. They seem to be comming back to the same strong status they were before.



SYB vs TSG

TSG > SYB // 13-4

What honestly needs to be said...



3D vs TEC

3D > TEC // 13-11

TEC beat 3D last time, this time 3D is probably going to take TEC down but by a narrow margin.



Rival vs e7

Rival > e7 // 13-8

Rival's going to be high off of defeating e7 in their last UGS match, e7 has probably learned from what they did wrong and aren't going to take it again but my bet goes for Rival.

The only match I'm watching is 3D vs. TEC... TEC did pretty good last match. Don't take my word for it, but I think this will be an interesting one.

From what I saw on HLTV 3D played like absolute trash for the first 7 rounds, and came back to win the next 5, then won 8 in the next half no sweat...but what were they doing in the first half...

packeting sucks, and so does that u5 kicked shock's butt and made my prediction incorrect. At least I got the e7 vs Rival match exactly correct, even the score. Fun fun. GG to all teams, and I can't wait to see TSG vs e7 and 3D vs u5
